henri-2.jpg(AFP) Morocco coach Henri Michel insisted on Thursday that he will not quit despite the team’s CAF Africa Cup of Nations first round exit.

“I have a contract until 2010 to get Morocco to the World Cup finals,” said the Frenchman who claimed he also had the backing of the country’s football federation.

Morocco were dumped out of the African finals in Ghana after losing to the hosts and Guinea, only managing to beat minnows Namibia.

Michel said there were “structural problems” in Moroccan football.

“Moroccan clubs have to agree that the priority is training. We have to have players who can measure up to foreign players,” said Michel who lamented that the team does not have world class players like the Ivorian Didier Drogba or Samuel Eto’o of Cameroon.
