CAN 2008: Moroccan hackers bring down Ghana 2008 website
(DPA) Hackers on Wednesday broke into the official website of the African Cup of Nations (www.ghanacan2008) and displayed a message of support for the Moroccan team.
The Atlas Lions were on Monday beaten 2-0 by the hosts and eliminated from the competition. The team is expected to fly back to Morocco on Thursday.
The website, which is being used widely by football fans and journalists to book accommodation and make transport arrangements, displayed a picture of a Moroccan fan with the saying: “Because of your STUPID Arbitration,You Got Punished By Moroccan Hackers, Revenge Token (sic) for The Lions.”
It also includes a profanity in Arabic, as well as a personal greeting to someone called Nada. All pages of the official website are blocked and cannot be viewed as website visitors are always taken back to the opening page with the Moroccan fan.
Moroccan players and fans complained after their defeat against the Black Stars on Monday that the referee had favoured the hosts.
The media co-ordinator of the local organizing committee (LOC) Paa Kwesi Plange said that they were aware the site had been compromised on Wednesday afternoon and was still not running properly several hours later.
“We are busy trying to rectify the situation. It is very sad, because a lot of people are using the site for information,” he said.

Not a good response. If you can do some thing then come into the battle. The people who hacked the site, are trying to misguide the peoples. It will create bad impression about Moroccoian football team and fans. Be positive.
