Morocco climbed three places in the FIFA World Ranking published on Friday. Morocco were 42nd in the world and are now 39th.

Morocco earned 181.30 points for the 2-2 draw against France and 423.30 points for the 3-0 victory against Senegal and now have 686 points.

In Africa Morocco are 6th behind Senegal (38), Cote d’Ivoire (37), Guinea (33), Cameroon (24) and Nigeria (20)

In Arab world Morocco are back on top ahead of Egypt (41), Tunisia (47), Saudi Arabia (57), Iraq (70), Oman (76) and Algeria (81).

CAN 2008: FRMF announces definitive list of Moroccan squad

Rabat, Jan.3 - The Moroccan Soccer Federation (FRMF) announced on
Wednesday the final line-up of the Moroccan squad that will take part in the Ghana 2008 Africa Nations Cup, billed for January 20 through February 10.

To warm-up ahead of the competition, Morocco will play Zambia and Angola in friendlies on January 12 in Fez and January 16 in Rabat.

In its latest appearances, Morocco harvested two good results with a 2-2 draw before France and a 3-0 victory over Senegal.

In Ghana 2008, Morocco will play in Group A besides the host country Ghana, Guinea and Namibia.
